The Black Swan is run by John and Judy Patrick, together with their son Graham. What began as a major renovation project in the early 1990s has grown into a warm, welcoming guest house that reflects our family’s love of hospitality.

The Black Swan is very much a family home as well as a guest house. Alongside the three of us, you may also meet our two cats and our dog — all of whom are gentle, friendly, and very used to guests.
We know how important pets are to many families, which is why we’re pleased to offer pet‑friendly rooms in our stable block.
